Disney movies? Eh, here and there. Disney Channel? Fuck that! NICKELODEON!

Agreed. Agreed, agreed, agreed, agreed, AGREED!!!
I almost just made a blog dedicated to that one single thought.
Teenagers, nostalgic for 90s Nick even though they were toddlers (or younger) when the shows were actually on.
Twentysomethings (and younger), having odd obsessions with Marilyn Monroe (seriously, how many of said obsessors have actually seen any of her movies?).
People who have 80s parties, even though, most of the time, they were BORN in the (LATE) 80s or after.
I’m sure I could think of more, but I’m tired.
- Nostalgia for things you never knew.
I’m going to be Mia Wallace for Halloween!
… aaaaand so are a shit load of other people. Woo hoo!
Oh, well. At least I don’t have to wear a wig. My Vincent Vega counterpart does. Ha ha at him.
Costumes are together and ready to go (on my end, anyway).
Look out, Memphis, we’re coming for you.

I just fell in love with Marissa Ribisi and Beck (as a couple).

They’re not constantly in the limelight, I’ve never heard of any scandals, or infidelity, or anything for that matter involving them. They’ve been married since 2004 which doesn’t seem that long, but it’s longer than a lot of celebrity couples can say these days.
I’ve only seen Marissa in Dazed and Confused, which I loved, and I liked her in it. I enjoy Beck’s music. They’re both cool. They are my new favorite couple (aside from myself and my husband, that is! ;) ).
I think the Buscemeyes make Lea Michele actually look better than she normally would!
Some Glee girls with Steve Buscemeyes.

My ugly, whimsical gentleman painting.
I started and finished it last night (well, I was done by 4:30 a.m.).
Pretty random.
Tom’s aunts want to throw me a shower before our housewarming party. My aunt suggested registering somewhere for our party. At first, I felt weird about doing it, but everyone’s telling me to take advantage of it, so I may as well (it’s better than getting things we don’t want or need).
The thing is, I wish I could register at an antique store or on Etsy. I’m in love with homemade goods and vintage pieces. We have a lot of antiques and hand-me-downs in our home at the moment, but I really love it. I don’t want shiny, brand new everything. It doesn’t give much personality to a home, in my opinion. However, kitchenware is a different story…
I’m thinking of registering at Bed Bath & Beyond and Target. I’m compiling a massive list, that I really need to narrow down, of all kinds of crap… Bleh. I feel like I’m obligating or asking people to get these things for me. I guess I kind of am, by having a shower and inviting people to it.. Although with our party I’m not expecting people to bring gifts. My aunt told me that people are going to ask, though, so I may as well.
I’ve come to the conclusion that whatever we can make ourselves or find at antique stores we won’t register for, and that’s what I want. All Tom really wants is power tools and wood and shit.
